We announce the guidelines for the 28th KOFIA International Fashion Illustration Contest in 2025 as follows. KOFIA will look forward to see many participants.

■ Purpose

- Finding new creative fashion illustrators who will meet the demands of the globalization era of the fashion industry

1. Implementing the fostering program for activities and growth as fashion illustrators and training fashion experts

2. Facilitating fashion illustration and contributing to high-added value of fashion design industry

■ Guidelines

1. Theme: freely decided

2. Eligibility: any person in worldwide with no limits on gender, academic ability, career and organization to which applications belong 

3. Limits of application

  1) Works which were published before at home or abroad, or works which imitated            other works can't be applied 

2) Only one entry per person

4. How to apply

Step 1) Rink in QR code below the notification (or on the poster) to submit the online              application 

Step 2) Fill out all the information on the online form 

Step 3) Download of application form

※You must deposit the apply fee before you submit online form (you will be need the       photo or captured pic of paid apply fee)

                              10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (KST)

5. Entry fee and payment method

    - Entry fee : 20,000 won for 1 work

   - Entry works are not returned, and the rights of the entry works belong to the KOFIA Association

    - Real works only are accepted. / Applicants who paid the apply fee are allowed to submit works.

7. Size of works and manufacturing guide

   - Size of works : 19inch X 27inch 

  - As for the works, besides frames and glass, other ornaments are excluded, and     explanation of the works need to be written in the section blank.

   - Hand-drawn and computer graphic works can be accepted HOWEVER all digital work must be printed out to submit. 

  - Filling the two copies of the application form identically, one copy should be attached to the back side of your work and the other is on the QR code rink (online apply)

8. Evaluation of works, publication of award winners and award ceremony

  1) Evaluation of works : November 29 (Sat), 2025, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

  2) Announcement of award winner : December 3 (Wed), 2025, 5:00 PM

  3) Award ceremony : December 12 (Fri), 2025, 2:00 PM

 Award are conducted for those who receive awards of special awards or higher                 awards.

 (In case of change due to internal circumstances, individual notification)

9. Others

  1) Examiner : Authorities in fashion illustration area and persons in the fashion        industry

  2) Problematic works : Works which plagiarize or mimic the existing works at home    and abroad are excluded in the evaluation. 

                                  (In the case where such works are found after award winning, awards are cancelled.                      Must be taken responsibility in case of legal problems)

  3) Entered works are not returned, and the right to the entry works belong to the      host.

  4) Award winning works are listed in the catalog made by the host. 

  5) The host does not take responsibility for damage or loss of works in the process of    postal delivery. 

   6) Works whose payment is not confirmed are excluded in the evaluation.

10. The criteria for the scopes of plagiarism and content utilization, and            borrowing

  1) Direct copying of others’ drawings and illustrations is recognized as plagiarism

  2) It is possible to borrow or change the part of various fashion images, but it is

     recognized as plagiarism if more than 70% of the work is expressed the same. 

  3) A work borrowed over 70% will be excluded from the awards.

  4) In addition to the above, in all cases that 1/2 of the judges is determined to

     be plagiarism, the award will be excluded.

  5) In the case of digital works, copyrighted photographs and trademarked photographs (brand logos, pictorials, etc.) are not available.
